Players select cards and read things off them, in a very loose approximation of some kind of a battle of strength between the characters depicted on the cards. The card sets (18 cards currently, more to follow!) depict a whole host of the crazy characters from Lucy Lastique's monthly adventures, with beautiful full colour pictures, revealing statistics, and detailed character bios packed with fascinating, little known facts!

LASTIQUÉMON: THE RULES OF THE GAME
1) Shuffle the deck and cut into two equal halves. For a short game, use just a single deck; for a longer game multiple decks may be used together. Each player receives half the deck as their hand.
2) Order of play may be decided by any agreeable means, such as tossing a coin. Player 1 then takes the first card from their hand and chooses a Stat. Placing the card in view of Player 2, Player 1 declares this Stat's value. Example: if Player 1 has the Lucy card, they may choose "Age: 27", and so declares "Age: 27" in a clear, strong voice.
3) Player 2 then displays the card at the top of their deck. If its corresponding Stat value is lower than that declared by Player 1, they lose and must give their card to Player 1. If the value is higher, then Player 2 wins the hand, and they claim the card from Player 1.
4) If a Player chooses to play the RPS Stat, then the winner is decided by the following hierarchy: Flesh softens Stone, Stone blunts Blade, Blade cuts Flesh.
5) Where Stats are found to be equal on any given play, this play is declared a Draw and play proceeds with the next pair of cards.
6) Play now passes to Player 2, and the process repeats, alternating between Players, until one Player has all the cards in their hand. This Player is declared the Winner.
SUBSIDIARY RULES
i) If multiple decks are used, only ONE Lucy Lastique card is included.
ii) Queen Cards; being The Queen Of Priapus, Alienne, and Veneris, automatically win against any non-Queen Card. Where two Queen Cards face one another, the outcome is decided by RPS.
iii) Any Draw on Stats is decided by RPS. Only then if RPS is equally matched is the play declared a Draw.
